Join the Sister Cities Association of Cary and International Focus for an engaging dinner program designed to encourage dialogue with local leaders about the Triangle’s cultural diversity and ways citizens can make a difference by engaging with other cultures one group, one person at a time. The theme of this year’s program is “Building Cultural Bridges Across Our Community”. It will offer guests a dinner program designed to encourage community dialogue about the positive impacts that educational, cultural and humanitarian exchanges have on participants and the community. Our featured speaker is Rick Van Sant, Executive Director of the Center for International Understanding. Our panelists are David and Sandy Campbell , international diplomatic exchange hosts for International Focus, Srijan Mukherjee, a student at Green Hope High School in Cary who participated in a humanitarian exchange to Central America last year, and Jeff Hadley, Department Head at Wake Tech Culinary Arts who has led student exchanges to and from Le Touquet for the past 20 years. All bring a unique perspective to the power of exchange programs and how these exchanges help build cultural bridges.
